Desirable Certifications * Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Administrator or equivalent) * VMware certifications * CompTIA Security+ * ITIL Foundation or equivalent ## Description Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in supporting, developing and enhancing their global IT infrastructure. This is a senior technical position, ideal for someone who enjoys remaining hands-on whilst taking ownership of enterprise infrastructure projects, driving technical improvements and acting as a senior escalation point across the IT function. Working within a collaborative IT team, you'll help ensure business-critical systems remain secure, resilient and highly available while contributing to the future direction of the organisation's infrastructure. What you'll be doing * Designing, implementing and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure across multiple sites. * Supporting enterprise networking, virtualisation, server infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud services. * Leading the technical delivery of infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations and new technology implementations. * Acting as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and major incidents. * Performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term improvements to increase resilience and performance. * Supporting disaster recovery planning, business continuity testing and infrastructure resilience initiatives. * Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver robust infrastructure solutions. * Collaborating with third-party vendors and service providers to support infrastructure services and project delivery. * Ensuring infrastructure complies with security best practice and standards including ISO 27001, GDPR and Cyber Essentials. * Identifying opportunities to modernise infrastructure through automation, cloud adoption and emerging technologies., This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation where technology plays a critical role in supporting global operations.
