## Description

Fachinformatiker bzw. Fachinformatikerinnen stehen für die fachliche Beratung, Betreuung und Schulung von Mitarbeitenden in IT-Angelegenheiten der Stadtverwaltung Duisburg zur Verfügung. Unter anderem lernst du:

 * IT-Systeme zu konzipieren, realisieren und administrieren
 * kundenspezifische Softwareanwendungen und Datenbanken/Datenbankreplikationskonzepte zu konzipieren
 * Schnittstellen zu entwickeln
 * die Qualität von Softwareanwendungen sicherzustellen

Die Einsatzgebiete liegen in den kaufmännischen, technischen, mathematisch-wissenschaftlichen, Experten- und Multimedia-Systemen.

Der IT-Bereich bietet vielfältige Aufgaben und Herausforderungen auf dem Weg der Digitalisierung der Stadt. Neben den eher klassischen Themen wie Vernetzung, Programmierung, Betrieb von Rechnern, Datenbanken und Anwendungen, gewinnen neue Aspekte, wie digitale Prozessunterstützung, Mobile-Device-Management (MDM), Virtualisierung, Mobileanwendungen, Geoinformationssysteme und die Integration von Portalen zunehmend an Bedeutung.
Ebenso findet eine Transformation des klassischen, festen Schreibtischarbeitsplatzes zu einem flexibleren, mehr ortsunabhängigen "modern workspace" statt, der den Einsatz moderner Kollaborationswerkzeuge und Kommunikationsmittel erfordert.
