As a Controls Engineer, you will work closely with the design team, construction & commissioning team, supporting projects from concept through design, programming, HMI development, installation, integration, ramp up, and long-term operations, sustainability & operations. What You'll Do * Establish and maintain automation, controls, and instrumentation design standards and best practices.Lead automation scope definition, execution strategies, and technical decision-making across projects * Oversee development and review of control philosophies, P&IDs, I/O lists, network architectures, and logic designs.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, cybersecurity, and safety requirements * Coordinate automation activities across engineering, operations, maintenance, and IT/OT stakeholders * Mentor and develop automation engineers, designers, and specialists * Lead the control system architecture design including the integration of HMI, SCADA, PLC, VFDs, safety PLCs, and 3rd party packaged equipment * Lead the development of greenfield PLC code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable.
