What candidate will need to qualify for this position:

 * BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)
 * 3+ years of progressive Engineering experience
 * Or
 * Equivalent academic education and experience

Certifications/Licenses:

Preferred : Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)

Skills:

Required:

 * Project Management
 * Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
 * Computer Assisted Design/Geographic Information System - basic proficiency
 * MS Office - advanced proficiency
 * CAD/GIS - intermediate proficiency.

## Description

* The Engineer Design contractor position for client assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions.
 * This position is an exciting opportunity for persons who enjoy the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities.

As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:

 * Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments
 * Performing assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products
 * Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.
 * Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.
 * Provide oversight and support for construction activities
