## About the Role

* Proven experience in data engineering and cloud data processing, particularly with the Azure Cloud Platform
 * Hands-on expertise with Data Warehousing and ETL tools
 * Strong familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Databricks and Alteryx
 * Proficiency in building and optimizing 'big data' pipelines and architectures
 * Skilled in SQL and Python/PySpark
 * Open-minded and quick learner, adaptable to new technologies and paradigms

Nice to Have Skills:

 * Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Java, or SAS
 * Experience with performance/security-oriented data modeling, including partitions, indexes, and views
 * Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure DevOps
 * Working knowledge of Purview, Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau

Preferred Education and Experience:

 * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
 * Azure Data Engineer certification is highly desirable

Other Requirements:

 * Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
 * Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting
