## About the Role

* Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2025).
 * Experience with Always On Availability Groups, Windows Clustering, and other HADR technologies.
 * Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, VMware, and PowerShell.
 * Experience with SQL Server upgrades, backup and recovery, and database migrations.
 * Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Change and Incident Management.
 * Experience using BMC Remedy/Helix.

Desirable

 * Active Directory, Commvault, and SCOM.
 * Jira and Confluence.
 * Data centre and cloud migration experience.
 * Power BI knowledge.

## Description

To deliver SQL database administration and infrastructure support, ensuring the successful build, migration, maintenance, and decommissioning of SQL Server environments in line with project and operational requirements., * Build, configure, and administer SQL Server databases.

 * Support SQL Server upgrades, migrations, backups, restores, and decommissioning activities.
 * Perform quality assurance checks and resolve post-build or migration issues.
 * Support application migrations to new infrastructure, data centres, and cloud environments.
 * Work with infrastructure and security teams to deliver database solutions.
 * Follow change, incident, and problem management processes.
