## About the Role

We're looking for someone with:

 * Experience in a Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Structural Design Engineer position.
 * Strong 3D CAD Inventor and AutoCAD Skills
 * Experience designing bespoke fabricated products or structures.
 * Knowledge of steel fabrication, timber construction or sheet metal manufacturing.
 * An understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
 * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
 * The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within scenic construction, exhibitions, shopfitting, events, architectural metalwork or bespoke manufacturing would be highly advantageous.

## Description

Working closely with project managers, workshop teams and clients, you will:

 * Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
 * Develop practical engineering solutions for bespoke scenic and structural projects.
 * Create fabrication drawings for steelwork, timber and mixed-material assemblies.
 * Liaise with production and installation teams to ensure designs are delivered efficiently.
 * Prepare bills of materials and technical documentation.
 * Support projects from concept through to manufacture and installation.
 * Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering and safety standards.
