This role blends creative and technical expertise to ensure our websites and intranet effectively communicate our mission, services, and resources to staff, clients and the community. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of content management systems, web standards, accessibility guidelines (Section 508/WCAG), and modern web technologies to deliver high quality digital experiences., * Develop, maintain, and publish website content and web pages using CMS platforms, HTML, and CSS * Ensure all web content meet accessibility, usability, quality assurance, branding standards, and compliance standards, including WCAG and Section 508 requirements * Collaborate with communications, IT, and program teams to create and optimize web content that aligns with agency priorities * Design and implement page layouts, graphics, and multimedia elements that enhance user experience and engagement * Monitor website performance, analytics, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve visibility and responsiveness * Maintain version control and follow established workflows for publishing and approvals * Support the migration, testing, and launch of new sites, features, or redesigns * Stay current on emerging web technologies and accessibility best practices This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 35 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This position is located within our Central Office at James A.
