## About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Server Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our servers and network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in server management, system architecture, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies., + Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

 + 3+ years of experience as a Server Administrator or similar role.
 + Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
 + Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
 + Familiarity with backup and recovery software and strategies.
 + Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
 + Solid understanding of networking fundamentals., + Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator).
 + Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
 + Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
 + Knowledge of ITIL practices and ticketing systems.
Soft Skills:

 + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
 + Strong communication and documentation abilities.
 + Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
 + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

## Description

+ Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
 + Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
 + Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis; upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
 + Perform system backups and recovery.
 + Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other server roles.
 + Maintain system security through access controls, firewalls, and antivirus.
 + Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to servers.
 + Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
 + Collaborate with network administrators and security teams to ensure high availability and secure infrastructure.
 + Provide technical support and guidance to end users and junior IT staff.
