## About the Role

* 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
 * Strong proficiency in DAX (calculated measures, time intelligence, filter context).
 * Experience with Power Query / M language for data transformation.
 * Solid understanding of relational data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
 * Ability to write intermediate to advanced SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
 * Experience connecting Power BI to cloud and on-premises data sources via gateways.
 * Familiarity with Power BI Service administration: workspaces, apps, capacity, row-level security.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, OneLake, Fabric pipelines, Direct Lake mode).
 * Exposure to Azure Data Factory or similar ETL/pipeline tooling.
 * Background in the energy, utilities, or oil & gas industry.
 * Microsoft certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer).
 * Experience with Python or R for data prep feeding into Power BI.
