## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
 * 3-5 years of experience in product design, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
 * Strong proficiency with CAD tools, especially SolidWorks
 * Solid understanding of mechanical design, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
 * Experience creating BOMs, performing basic stress analysis, and developing detailed part drawings
 * Familiarity with new product development processes (Stage Gate); PFMEA experience is a plus
 * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
 * Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
 * Clear communication skills, including the ability to document and explain technical concepts

 * Experience with agricultural equipment or mowing implements (preferred)

## Description

Bush Hog, RhinoAg, and Dixie Chopper are among the most recognized and trusted brands in the agricultural and outdoor power equipment industries. We're looking for a Design Engineer to join our team and help drive innovation across our product lines.

In this role, you'll contribute to the full product lifecycle-from concept and design to testing and production-while supporting key business goals such as profitability, product reliability, and operational efficiency. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on design work, problem-solving, and seeing their ideas come to life in the field.

What You'll Do

 * Design and develop new products, as well as enhance existing ones
 * Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity
 * Select components and materials based on product requirements and performance needs
 * Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation
 * Standardize designs by leveraging existing components to improve cost efficiency and reliability
 * Participate in field testing to evaluate product performance and make design improvements
 * Prepare and release Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
 * Support troubleshooting efforts with the service team to resolve mechanical issues
 * Partner with Purchasing to source materials and approve vendors
 * Assist with prototype builds and ensure smooth transition from design to production
 * Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture in all work activities
