## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
 * Proficiency with AutoCAD and Solid Works
 * Lighting Experience a Plus

Job Knowledge and Skills:

 * Very proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
 * Mechanical drafting background preferred; architectural drawing experience a plus.
 * Ability to read architectural, reflected ceiling, and electrical plans.
 * Knowledge of building construction related to lighting fixtures is a plus.
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 * Demonstrated critical thinking ability to analyze design and project requirements, identify potential conflicts, and determine practical solutions.
 * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a proactive manner and communicate project status and timelines effectively.
 * Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 * None

Physical Demands:

 * Occasional work on the manufacturing floor.
 * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

## Description

We are seeking a Applications Engineer who'll work closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing to support the Selux product line through fixture layouts, technical support, and project execution., * Create submittal drawings using AutoCAD for customer interior, exterior, and custom projects, including shipping charts.

 * Create layout drawings using SolidWorks for customer interior and exterior projects, including shipping charts.
 * Evaluate and review change requests for feasibility.
 * Revise existing drawings as needed.
 * Manage and prioritize drawing assignments.
 * Collaborate with Applications Engineering team members on projects.
 * Maintain standard product CAD files and documentation.
 * Review and verify drawings completed by team members.
 * Participate in workload scheduling.
 * Provide technical support to Sales and Project Management teams.
 * Support remote Applications Engineering team members through video conferencing and other virtual collaboration tools.
 * Take ownership of assigned projects from initial request through completion, maintaining drawing accuracy, quality, and adherence to project deadlines.
 * Maintain knowledge of Selux products, engineering standards, and departmental procedures to support accurate and efficient project execution.
