Relevant professional certifications and prior IP are advantageous. ## Description This Lead Sensor Architect role centers on owning the end-to-end sensor strategy for next-generation AMD client PC platforms-spanning silicon IP, firmware, drivers, and user-experience algorithms. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on technologist who can translate emerging sensing modalities into low-power, high-performance solutions, influence cross-functional roadmaps, and represent AMD with OEMs and industry forums. Early successes will include mapping current gaps, define a N+2 & beyond sensor action plan, and deliver proof-of-concept demos; longer-term milestones involve taping-in new sensor IP, shipping production-ready software stacks, and achieving measurable platform power, performance, and security wins while mentoring a growing sensor team., * Own the end-to-end sensor strategy (vision, camera, audio, environmental, biometric, haptics, etc.) for client PC platforms. * Define architecture requirements for next-generation sensor subsystems-including silicon IP, firmware, drivers, calibration, and algorithms. * Partner with silicon, platform, and OS teams to deliver best-in-class power, performance, and user-experience metrics. * Drive technology evaluations and POCs for emerging sensing modalities (time-of-flight, radar, UWB, environmental). * Establish and champion sensor-related security, privacy, and quality standards across the organization. * Represent the company in industry forums and with key OEM/ODM partners; influence ecosystem roadmaps., AMD may use Artificial Intelligence to help screen, assess or select applicants for this position.
