## About the Role

* 15 or more years of experience in IDMS deployment and operations within a z/OS IBM mainframe environment.
 * Proficiency in IDMS SQL option configurations and relational database implementations.
 * Experience with deploying IDMS security, including ADS/O application structures, IDD, and relational database objects.
 * Experience in database application programming using COBOL and ADS/O languages.
 * Experience with IBM High Level Assembler on the z/OS operating system.
 * Experience in IDMS Perfmon online monitoring, report generation, and database tuning.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

## Description

* Provide hands-on database administration and operational support for application and infrastructure databases.
 * Enable and tune database features to optimize query and storage performance in a mainframe environment.
 * Generate and analyze system performance metrics using online monitoring and reporting utilities.
 * Partner with application development and platform systems teams to align database configurations.
 * Design and implement operations procedures for enterprise test, staging, and production databases.
 * Advise engineering and product teams on data model modifications and legacy integration patterns.
 * Coordinate technical tasks, estimate resource efforts, and resolve issues within a rotating call schedule.
