Preferred Experience, Education & Certifications: * + ISP/Telecom Network Engineering experience + Experience with wireless technologies (e.g., Cambium, fixed wireless systems) + Knowledge of automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar) + Nokia Network Routing Specialist Certification (or equivalent) + Cisco CCNP / JNCIP or higher certification + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience) ## Description The Network Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Cal.net's network infrastructure to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability. This role partners closely with the NOC, field operations, and technical support teams to proactively improve network performance and quickly resolve complex issues. The Network Engineer is responsible for advancing the network architecture, driving automation and process improvements, and supporting the organization's mission of delivering exceptional internet service-especially in hard-to-serve areas. This is a full-time position that will include participation in an on-call rotation to support network incidents and escalations.
