They understand how production applications interact with databases, equipment interfaces, shop-floor systems, PLC-connected environments, and enterprise infrastructure. They can develop new functionality while also diagnosing complex production issues involving software, data, integrations, servers, networks, or databases. The strongest candidate will be comfortable working directly with manufacturing users and technical teams, taking ownership of escalated issues, documenting solutions, and supporting applications that are essential to continuous production operations. ## Description This role is ideal for a software engineer who understands that manufacturing applications must do more than function in a development environment they must operate reliably alongside production equipment, databases, PLC-connected systems, shop-floor interfaces, and global manufacturing processes. You will develop and support manufacturing software, integrate plant-floor systems with enterprise applications, and serve as an advanced technical escalation resource for business-critical manufacturing systems., The MES Software Engineer will develop new manufacturing applications, enhance existing software, configure enterprise software packages, and provide advanced support for manufacturing systems and related data architecture. The position combines software development with manufacturing systems integration and Tier 3 application support. The engineer will work with custom-developed applications, commercial software products, SQL Server databases, shop-floor systems, manufacturing control systems, PLC-connected environments, and OPC-based data exchange. This is not a general web-development position.
