Company - **Location:** Huntsville, AL, United States - **Experience:** Expert - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Microsoft Windows, Cyber Security, Identity and Access Management, Wide Area Networks, Information Technology, Nessus, Cisco Switches, Vulnerability Analysis - **Published:** July 17, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.clearancejobs.com/jobs/9035930/senior-cyber-security-specialist ## About the Role * 15+ years of Information Technology/Cybersecurity Experience with a minimum of 5 years in the DoD and a minimum of 5 years of System Administration and configuration experience in the enterprise with one or more of the following technologies: + Windows 7 - 10 including DoD Secure Host Baseline + Cisco switches and routers + Boundary defenses + DoD 8570 IAM - III Certification Certification Details * An active DoD SECRET Level Security Clearance (or have held one in the past 2 years) * Strong skills in Tenable's Nessus/Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS): + Vulnerability Analysis + Managing scan data in Security Center + Providing reports to system owners, program managers, and ISSMs to track vulnerability metrics + Uploading scan data to enterprise Mission Assurance Service (eMASS) to populate the asset management component + Ports, Protocols, and Services (PP&S) + LAN/WAN design and security * Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) policy and procedures (DoD 8500, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-37, & NIST SP 800-53) * Knowledge of RMF Implementation guidance and applying technical expertise to continuous monitoring controls * Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences and explain complex situations to all levels of leadership, including SES/General Officers ## Description We are a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL, supporting the Missile Defense Agency.
