## About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Pega Application Engineer with at least 8 years of hands-on Pega development experience. The consultant will support the implementation and expansion of Pega capabilities across Personal, Commercial, and Specialty Insurance lines.

The project uses Pega Constellation with React for front-end development and Java for back-end services., * 8+ years of hands-on Pega development experience.

 * Strong experience with Pega 24.
 * Experience with Pega Constellation, Constellation SDKs, and custom component development.
 * 5+ years of Java/J2EE web application development experience.
 * Strong experience with React and JavaScript.
 * Experience with Java, Tomcat, JSON, REST integrations, CSS3, and HTML5.
 * Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles.
 * Experience with UX concepts and responsive web application development.
 * Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
 * Experience with source control, code reviews, build processes, testing, and deployments.
 * Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

 * Pega Certified Lead System Architect certification.
 * Experience with AngularJS, AJAX, and jQuery.
 * Property and Casualty insurance industry experience.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

## Description

* Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications using Pega.
 * Support Pega 24 and Pega Constellation implementations.
 * Develop custom components using Constellation SDKs and React.
 * Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Pega solutions.
 * Develop and integrate Java/J2EE back-end services.
 * Provide technical guidance to development teams.
 * Perform code reviews and enforce development standards.
 * Troubleshoot application, integration, and environment issues.
 * Collaborate with project managers, architects, QA teams, and offshore resources.
 * Support DevOps, deployments, testing, and multiple application environments.
 * Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing.
 * Identify technical risks and recommend effective solutions.
