## Description

Heitmeyer Consulting is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Python Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our financial services clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and has strong experience building and supporting APIs while working within a Java-based ecosystem., * Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs using Python

 * Provide application and file-level support within a Java-based environment
 * Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across systems and integrations
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile framework to deliver high-quality solutions
 * Support migration efforts from legacy applications to new platforms
 * Manage and prioritize a backlog of work, including post-migration cleanup and optimization tasks
 * Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle
