We're building 0 1 and we'll be defining ways to streamline the onboarding experience, unlock growth, and amplify our internal teams to move quickly. This team owns the full merchant journey, from onboarding & configuration to the internal tooling that powers our teams. Our engineers work across real production systems, complex data flows, and product surfaces used by teams who need software they can trust. We hire people who enjoy taking ownership, learning fast, and partnering closely with teammates to build things the right way. Why Engineers Love Working Here Our teams solve problems that don't have clear answers. The work spans new product development, system design, data modeling, and operational scale. Engineers join Tabs because they want to own meaningful systems, shape how our platform evolves, and learn from talented peers in a fast-moving environment. At Tabs you will not be pushing anonymous tickets. You will be trusted with real scope, real decisions, and real customers. We expect engineers to think critically, debate ideas, explain tradeoffs, and follow through. What You'll Work On * Core backend services and APIs * Product surfaces that finance teams rely on daily * Interfaces and tools that simplify complex concepts for internal and external users * Internal systems that improve reliability, observability, and performance Across the company, engineers partner closely with Product and Design. Quick conversations, whiteboard sessions, and collaborative problem solving are part of our daily rhythm. What We Care About You'll thrive at Tabs if you: * Enjoy owning systems end-to-end, from first design doc to fixing production edge cases weeks later * Care deeply about correctness and long-term maintainability * Are curious about domains you don't already understand, and are willing to sit with discomfort while you learn * Can disagree respectfully, explain your reasoning, and change your mind when the data says you should We're optimizing for excellent engineers who are good teammates. What we don't care about as much: * Exact years of experience * Whether you're "frontend" or "backend" by title * Whether you've worked in fintech before If you've built scalable systems, shipped real software, and learned from breaking prod a time or two, we want to talk. The Stack We care more about how fast you learn than experience with our exact stack. * TypeScript, Node, NestJS * React, Next.js * Postgres * Redis * Temporal for job management ## Related Videos - [Lessons learned from building a thriving Vue.js SaaS application](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1666-lessons-learned-from-building-a-thriving-vue-js-saas-application) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [Streaming AI Responses in Real-Time with SSE in Next.js & NestJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1630-streaming-ai-responses-in-real-time-with-sse-in-next-js-nestjs) - [Next, Nest, Nuxt… Nust?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/421-next-nest-nuxt-nust) ## Related Articles - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 139 - Soft and hard queries](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/487-dev-digest-139-soft-and-hard-queries) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [React Developer Salary [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/198-react-developer-salary-2023) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline)
