Desired but not essential (full training will be given): * Experience with Python * Exposure to Linux, particularly for use with Docker and self hosted applications * Knowledge of PLC programming with Codesys using the Structured Text language * Schematic and PCB design using Kicad * Knowledge of hydraulics systems will be an advantage * Software interfacing to CAN-based sensors and analogue/digital sensors and actuators. * An understanding of safety-related software design techniques such as IEC 61508-3; and experience developing graphical user interfaces for machine control. ## Description We are seeking a motivated Graduate Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D team at Xwatch. This role will be based in our new R&D center in Portsmouth and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of safety systems used across the construction industry.
