The Network Middleware team builds the systems that keep them connected, performant, and resilient. These systems power connectivity for every Bloomberg Terminal worldwide, operating across diverse enterprise environments and Internet conditions. Engineers on this team own the design, implementation, and operation of the platform. Our focus is evolving these systems toward greater automation, improved observability, and increasingly self-healing behavior. The platform relies heavily on open source networking technologies, combined with internal tooling and automation. Technical Ownership Engineers on this team take ownership of complex connectivity problems that span applications, distributed systems, and network behavior. Many challenges do not have established playbooks. Engineers investigate issues, experiment with solutions, and turn operational lessons into automation, tooling, and platform improvements as the platform continues evolving toward more resilient systems. We're Looking For Engineers Who * Are comfortable working in Linux-based systems environments * Understand core Internet protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP) * Write code to solve infrastructure problems (Python preferred) * Enjoy debugging complex distributed systems * Are interested in improving infrastructure through automation and engineering ## Related Videos - [An Applied Introduction to eBPF with Go](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1075-an-applied-introduction-to-ebpf-with-go) - [What the Heck is Edge Computing Anyway?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/593-what-the-heck-is-edge-computing-anyway) - [Our journey with Spring Boot in a microservice architecture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/511-our-journey-with-spring-boot-in-a-microservice-architecture) - [Edge Orchestration for the Physical World: Connecting Cameras, Sensors, and Devices with MQTT](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100081-edge-orchestration-for-the-physical-world-connecting-cameras-sensors-and-devices-with-mqtt) - [Turning Container security up to 11 with Capabilities](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/718-turning-container-security-up-to-11-with-capabilities) - [Debunking the Top 10 Myths about Web 3](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/634-debunking-the-top-10-myths-about-web-3) ## Related Articles - [Software Engineer Salary London](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/252-software-engineer-salary-london) - [How Much Does a Software Engineer Make?
