## About the Role

* Associate's degree in computer technology or equivalent technician training and on the job experience; industry certifications a plus
 * Five years' experience in network installation, maintenance, and administration, preferred
 * Experience with network device configurations: routers, switches, servers, printers, desktops, Chromebooks, cameras, etc.
 * Understanding of network architectures including LAN/WAN topologies and virtual networking
 * Knowledge and experience with Windows OS (workstation and server) and Microsoft Active Directory
 * Experience with network and user based software applications such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Google Suite for Education, and VMware
 * Time management and organizational skills
 * Excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills
 * Ability to work without direct supervision
 * Such alternatives to the above as the Board of Trustees find appropriate and acceptable

## Description

To maintain the technology equipment throughout the schools in the district in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of them may be made at all times in accordance with the mission of the school district., * Perform network administration and problem resolution as they pertain to the network (local and wide area)

 * Install, configure and maintain all LAN/WAN hardware such as file servers, routers, firewalls, switches, VolP phone system, and networked peripheral devices
 * Assists with access control systems
 * Maintain inventory of network devices
 * Manage backup systems
 * Assists with maintenance of Internet content filtering hardware and software
 * Administer user accounts across systems
 * Assists in the selection of technology equipment and systems
 * Assists with training district personnel in the proper use of technology
 * Support with device repairs: desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks
 * Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job responsibilities.
 * Performs other duties as directed.
