PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: * General knowledge of Virginia criminal law and court procedures; some working knowledge of the courts systems and other jail systems * Any knowledge of related public safety computer systems such as LIDS or OMS., * Must have a valid driver's license. * Must pass a criminal history background investigation to include fingerprint and driving record check. * Must pass a polygraph examination. * Must pass a pre-employment medical assessment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. May also require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. ## Description The Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center is seeking a motivated, career-minded professional with exceptional administrative skills and a sharp eye for detail to join our team. As a Local Inmate Data System (LIDS) Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining critical inmate records, ensuring state compliance, and safeguarding agency funding. If you are ready to serve the public and grow your career within a community-focused, forward-thinking law enforcement agency, apply today to join our dedicated team!, * Enter, update, and maintain comprehensive inmate records within the state LIDS database in strict compliance with the Virginia Compensation Board regulations. * Evaluate and correct inmate charges, bonds, jurisdiction data, sentencing, confinement codes, and release codes. Compare data to original court forms to ensure 100% accuracy of all incarceration information. * Interpret data in agency's Offender Management System (OMS) to prepare, upload, and download records from the Virginia LIDS database. Perform daily and monthly reconciliations, using advanced knowledge of both systems to input adjustments and ensure perfectly synchronized data. * Oversee daily data loads, data cleaning, and error correction. Research discrepancies to ensure data accurately reflects monthly reportable activity, ensuring proper agency funding from the State of Virginia. * Lead the State Compensation Board audit process.
