Years of Experience: + 5+ years of experience in automotive products. Glazing product experience is a plus. + 5+ years of experience in automotive product design and GD&T using CAD tools (Unigraphics required, Catia is a plus). + Previous experience with major automotive OEM's is a plus. + Previous experience with Teamcenter is a plus. Other Requirements: + Previous experience with General Motors design and engineering release systems. + Valid driver's license required for business travel. + Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. + Reliable transportation required. + Regular and predictable attendance. + Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays. **KEY COMPETENCIES ** + Advanced / Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint. + Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis. + Excellent Analytical Skills. + Team player, cooperative, with the demonstrated ability to quickly find common ground and resolve problems. + Dedication and commitment to complete all assignments and tasks with a strong work ethic. + Good oral and written communication and people skills. + Abillity and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and Trust. ## Description The Design Release Engineer is responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of Fixed Glass and Door Glass systems while utilizing Carlex and OEM Best Practices and design guidelines.
