 * Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud provider.
 * Familiarity with security best practices and automation tools.
 * Experience contributing to the operation of production systems, ideally in a distributed or cloud environment.

Experience with some of the following areas, and eagerness to learn the rest:

 * Docker and Kubernetes (we use Amazon EKS in production)
 * Python or other scripting languages
 * Datadog or similar monitoring/logging tools
 * Messaging queues or event-driven systems (we use RabbitMQ)
 * Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
 * Networking basics
 * PostgreSQL or another relational database
 * Linux system administration basics, * Exposure to multi-team environments or shared platform services.
 * Interest in data-focused systems such as analytics, telemetry, or IoT
 * Familiarity with CI/CD or observability practices beyond the basics
 * A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning from more senior engineers

## Description

Our Global Platform Engineering team is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure, tooling, and services that enable our engineering teams to deliver at scale safely and reliably., As a Platform Engineer within this newly created team, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of the systems and services that form the foundation of our platforms. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to build scalable solutions, improve automation, and support areas such as cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer experience., * Contribute to building and improving platform services, writing code, reviewing changes, and supporting deployments

 * Work alongside senior engineers to design and implement solutions that improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience
 * Help maintain and operate core systems such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring
 * Participate in incident response and retrospectives, contributing to learning and improvement
 * Collaborate with other engineers to understand needs and translate them into practical platform solutions
 * Take ownership of tasks and smaller projects, while developing towards owning larger areas of the platform
