## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

 + 5+ years of experience managing technical teams, including direct supervision of network engineers

 + 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments

 + Strong expertise in network infrastructure technologies, including routing, switching, VPNs, wireless, and VoIP systems

 + Experience supporting large-scale environments with 1,000+ users and distributed networks

 + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex, concurrent projects

 + Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

 + Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex issues and leading resolution across teams and vendors

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

 + Experience in higher education or similarly complex, multi-site organizations

 + Advanced networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE)

 + Experience with enterprise network monitoring tools and IT service management platforms

 + Deep familiarity with Cisco networking and wireless technologies

 + Experience leading large-scale infrastructure modernization or transformation initiatives

## Description

The Network Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of network professionals and overseeing the performance, reliability, and security of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites. This role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the network environment effectively supports institutional priorities. The position is primarily managerial, with a focus on guiding teams, managing projects, and driving continuous improvement., + Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth

 + Oversee the design, implementation, and support of enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance

 + Establish and enforce standards, policies, and best practices for network operations and systems administration

 + Manage multiple large-scale, concurrent projects, including planning, execution, and progress reporting

 + Partner with stakeholders across the organization to align network initiatives with business and academic needs

 + Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals to ensure optimal service delivery and cost efficiency

 + Ensure accurate documentation, inventory management, and operational reporting for network systems

 + Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating emerging technologies and industry best practices

 + Act as a primary point of contact for network-related services, escalations, and strategic initiatives

 + Promote strong communication and collaboration between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
