The primary responsibility is to document, develop, deploy, and maintain custom in-house software essential for the broadcast center teams including the satellite operation center. The focus is on maximizing the reliability, security, consistency, scalability, and performance of these systems. Additional responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to providing support for operations and engineering teams with software support questions and evaluating requests for third party software. Assisting other team members with projects and strives to increase technical skills and professional knowledge. Escalates mission impacting issues to senior team members and management as necessary. Acquires the essential knowledge to act as the backup engineer for all assigned critical systems, products, and processes.
