Minimum Years of Experience: * 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare or HIPAA-regulated setting. * Experience with EMR/EHR systems strongly preferred. * Familiarity with compliance standards such as HIPAA, CARF, and COMAR is a plus., * Are you available to occasionally work Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM if needed? * Do you have experience working independently with minimal supervision? * Have you ever worked in a healthcare setting? * Are you familiar with Methasoft? ## Description The IT Specialist at Charm City Medical Center is responsible for supporting the day-to-day technology needs of the clinic, including network management, hardware/software support, data security, and troubleshooting. This role will be instrumental in maintaining clinical and administrative technology infrastructure to ensure seamless patient care and regulatory compliance., Technical Support & Maintenance * Provide onsite and remote support to staff for hardware, software, and connectivity issues. * Set up, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and mobile devices, printers, scanners, and tablets. Network & Systems Administration * Maintain local and cloud-based systems, including internet, Wi-Fi, and internal servers. * Monitor system performance, ensure regular data backups, and assist in disaster recovery planning. EMR/EHR & Practice Management Systems * Support the implementation and optimization of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management platforms. * Train staff and troubleshoot system issues related to patient data and scheduling. Cybersecurity & Compliance * Ensure HIPAA compliance and data protection standards are met across all platforms. * Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control for sensitive patient information. Vendor & Equipment Management * Serve as the point of contact for external IT vendors and service providers. * Track IT inventory, order necessary equipment, and manage warranties/licenses.
