This is an externally focused position for someone who enjoys networking, building relationships, creating partnerships, and connecting people to a mission that changes lives. The Development Manager will play an important role in growing Pegasus' fundraising efforts by cultivating donors, securing sponsorships, representing Pegasus throughout the community, and building relationships with businesses, foundations, civic organizations, and community leaders. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder who is comfortable attending networking events, making introductions, following up with prospective supporters, and helping create meaningful opportunities for individuals and organizations to invest in Pegasus' mission. Key Responsibilities Fundraising & Partnership Development · Identify and cultivate prospective donors, sponsors, corporate partners, and community organizations. · Research prospective donors, sponsors, community partners, and funding opportunities that align with Pegasus' mission. · Assist with sponsorship outreach, donor cultivation, and relationship management. · Help develop customized sponsorship opportunities and partnership proposals. · Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective donors, sponsors, and community partners. · Assist with stewardship efforts to strengthen long-term relationships with supporters. Community Engagement · Represent Pegasus at networking events, horse shows, community events, and other public functions. · Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador by communicating Pegasus' mission, programs, and community impact. · Increase community awareness by building relationships with local businesses, civic organizations, elected officials, and community leaders. · Identify opportunities for presentations, speaking engagements, and collaborative partnerships.
