Other Qualifications Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and administrators. Ability to effectively present information to individuals and groups. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Additional Requirements Must successfully complete IS100 and IS700 National Incident Management (NIMS) training within 90 days of employment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. ## Description The City of Lynchburg is seeking a Public Safety Applications Development Analyst II to design, develop, and support technology solutions that power critical operations for the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD). This position works closely with LPD staff to enhance business applications, improve system integrations, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate has experience with Visual Basic, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)., ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
