The Security Operations Engineer II is expected to use different Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, analyze and respond to incidents in a timely manner, and report on key findings accurately and promptly. This role involves developing and managing threat hunting across different areas of the network for proactive detection of anomalous events and possible intrusions/attacks. The Security Operations Engineer II is expected to have familiarity with network security, cloud security and different SIEM tools. This role involves working collaboratively with other members of the security team to fine tune existing technologies to ensure optimal performance and improved detection/prevention capabilities.
