This will require reading, comprehending, and adhering to project design drawings/plans, specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and installation standards while leading or performing the installation and/or decommissioning critical cabling and network infrastructure in a Data Center environment. Technicians must deliver project installations according to the customer's expectations and exhibit the ability to provide outstanding customer service., + Dependable Team Player: Reliable, punctual, and committed to collaborative work. + Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the safe and effective use of basic hand tools relevant to both Telecom and Construction industries. + Technical Knowledge: Familiar with DSX 5000 remote end operations. + Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments while maintaining a positive attitude. + Detail-Oriented: Executes tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. + Safety & Quality Focused: Demonstrates strong understanding of job-site safety protocols, quality control standards, and industry best practices. + Flexible Availability: Willing to work varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends as needed. + Reliable Transportation: Has consistent access to transportation for daily commute. + Language & Communication: Able to read, write, and understand English effectively. + Color Recognition: Capable of accurately identifying and distinguishing colors. + Digital Literacy: Proficient in using computers and handheld tablets for documentation and communication. + Self-Driven: Motivated, ethical, and committed to delivering high-quality work independently. QUALIFICATIONS: + JOURNEYMAN INSTALLER + REQUIRED: + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. + 3+ years relevant experience in data centers or large commercial facilities + Valid Power Limited Technician (PLT) License. + 3+ years of experience terminating, testing, labeling of copper and/or fiber cables + PREFERRED + OSHA 30 preferred - must obtain within 90 days of hire. + First Aid / CPR certificate - must obtain within 90 days of hire. + BICSI Technical Certifications preferred. + TECHNICIAN + REQUIRED: + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. + 1000+ hours as a journeyman installer + Valid Power Limited Technician License (PLT) + Previous experience with Fiber Splicing + Knowledge how to operate DSX 5000 tester/OTDR Tester + PREFERRED + OSHA 30 preferred - must obtain within 90 days of hire. + First Aid / CPR certificate within 90 days of hire. + Fiber Optic Association Certifications preferred., The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
