* Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring (Spring Boot preferred)
 * Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs
 * Experience with Kafka and microservices-based architecture
 * Comfort working in a collaborative, team-first engineering environment rather than a heads-down solo one
 * Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
 * Angular or frontend experience is a plus, but not required
