Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of ten year of experience in information technology and operations. * Eight years of managerial experience is required. Director or VP level experience preferred. * Experience leading a multi-disciplined information technology team. * Deep knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance * Strong understanding of network architecture, firewalls, and cloud environments * Understanding of large organization operations and information technology needs. * Experience managing enterprise systems. * Familiarity with data storage technologies and business intelligence tool deployment * Expert ability to assess issues regarding information systems and create manageable solutions. * Thorough understanding of critical organizational Information Technology policies and procedures. * Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly master existing technology used in the organization. * Advanced analytical knowledge in decision analysis and budget administration * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong managerial and leadership skills. * Creative and self-motivated. ## Description This role reports to the Executive Vice President of Administration. The VP of IT is responsible for organizing, planning, directing, and controlling all the Credit Union's electronic and information technology functions, including systems and programming, computer operations, phone operations, infrastructure, information security, data analytics, business process solutions and related vendor relationships. This role aligns technology investments with business objectives to ensure operational scalability, risk mitigation, and fiscal responsibility. The individual in this role will drive the organization's data maturity journey, optimize business process solutions through modern automation, ensure peak core system performance, and maintain fiscal responsibility. Responsible for overall hardware, software, and equipment purchases and maintenance. Responsible for innovations and the development and implementation of the Credit Union's IT strategic plan. Responsible for disaster recovery planning, incidence response and mitigation strategies. Responsible for the information security of all members and confidential information maintained by the Credit Union, functions as the organization's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with the primary goal to protect credit union data, technology assets, and infrastructure from internal and external threats. Partner with Vice Presidents and Board of Directors with long and short run Information Technology planning. Develops a total strategy and direction for the Credit Union's electronic processing functions. Executes established goals and ensures that corporate-wide goals are complemented and supported. Updates the executive team on technological trends and recommends new technologies to improve the efficiency, processes, and operations of the credit union. Analyzes the requirements of other departments and implement technology controls. Develops and implements operational plans, policies, and goals that further strategic objectives. Prepare, implement, and execute Information Technology budget. * Performance: Ensures the implementation of cost-effective and efficient systems and computer operations designed to meet current and future information needs. Manages, directs, oversees, and ensures the efficiency of Computer Operations, Telecommunications, Information Systems, LAN/WAN Networks, and PC systems. Ensures users' and members' needs are met and that they are fully capable of utilizing established systems. Reviews requests for additional services and upgrades, assessing the costs and benefits to the organization. Ensure that equipment, peripheral devices, and software are set up and operated in accordance with prescribed instructions. Research and recommend equipment, software, and system updates. Ensures that Information technology systems are secure, properly backed up, and appropriately documented. Manage and oversee Department expenses. Pursues cost-saving measures. Oversee the development of an appropriate data warehouse of organizational data. Ensures functions will partner with product owners, business lines, and channels to maximize their current product attributes, usage, marketing opportunities, and product performance. Continually monitors technical and processing priorities and methods. Continually evaluate established policies and procedures and updates or modifies them as necessary. Periodically review the Credit Union's information needs and modifies the systems as required. Define and track IT Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensures that foundational platforms are fully leveraged, customized, and integrated. Drives internal training and adoption strategies to guarantee that newly deployed business process solutions are successfully utilized. * Leadership: Provide leadership to personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Conduct staff meetings as required. Directs, schedules, and coordinate Department functions. Ensures that personnel are well-trained, effective, and optimally used. Instructs personnel regularly regarding policy, procedure, and program changes. Conducts performance appraisals as required. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed. Ensures that staffing levels are appropriate and human resources are effectively utilized. Interviews, hires, and assigns personnel. Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IS staff, equipment, and procedures. Recruits, mentors, and retains high-performing teams. Advise executive leadership on infrastructure scalability and risk management. Leads technical evaluation for vendor management and IT contract negotiations. Drive change management and adoption. * Internal and External Relations: Ensures that questions and concerns are promptly and courteously resolved. Ensures that Credit Union policies and procedures are effectively conveyed. Ensures that the Credit Union's professional reputation and appropriate levels of confidentiality are maintained. Represents the Credit Union with various trade professionals and groups. Ensures that Information Technology functions are well coordinated with other Credit Union operations. Advises and assists Branch and Department Managers with their information technology needs. Keeps the President, Executive Vice President, and Board of Directors informed of Information Technology progress toward established objectives and of any significant problems. Completes required reports and records. Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required. Bridges the gap between technical teams and business leaders. Ability to translate complex technical details into clear, business-value conversations for non-technical audience. * Risk Mitigation: Stays informed of trends and changes in the information technology field. Completes special Information Technology projects and research studies as required. Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations and attends required annual BSA training. Ensures that the work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained. Responsible for keeping the Credit Union in compliance with all rules and regulations from the NCUA and other regulatory bodies. Develops a plan to remediate any findings during audits from outside and internal resources. Develops a long-term security plan to ensure the Credit Union is compliant with current and future rules and regulations. Enforce data governance policies to guarantee data quality, access controls, and compliance. Owns organizations security defense strategy and incident response readiness. Ensures patch compliance across company hardware, applications, and data stores. Maintain compliance with industry standards.
