## About the Role

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
 * Proven experience as a software programmer with project lead responsibilities.
 * Strong knowledge of system software development and programming languages.
 * Ability to work onsite in Columbia, South Carolina at least 3 days per week.
 * Current residency in South Carolina (no relocation allowed).
 * Valid security clearance or ability to obtain required security clearance.

 * Familiarity with state government software systems and compliance requirements.
 * Project management certifications or training.

## Description

The System Software Programmer - Project Lead will oversee and lead software development projects, ensuring the design, coding, testing, and implementation of system software solutions. This hybrid role requires collaboration onsite and remote work, focusing on delivering high-quality software within the Department of Social Services in South Carolina. The candidate must be a current South Carolina resident and will manage project timelines and technical teams. Responsibilities:

 * Lead software programming projects from conception through deployment.
 * Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
 * Design, develop, test, and maintain system software applications.
 * Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
 * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
