* Bachelor's degree in a design-related discipline or equivalent professional experience

 * Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced website and UI/UX design work
 * Deep understanding of accessibility guidelines and web standards (Section 508, WCAG)
 * Proficient in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
 * Experience working with CMS platforms from a design, development, and content perspective
 * Strong client communication skills and the ability to present and justify design decisions
 * Proven experience mentoring or leading other team members
 * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills

## Description

* Lead design efforts for websites and applications, producing wireframes, mockups, and polished UI designs
 * Guide user experience strategy and align visual solutions with client goals
 * Create scalable design systems and reusable visual components for long-term consistency
 * Oversee and enforce accessibility and compliance standards (WCAG, Section 508)
 * Mentor junior designers, sharing knowledge and elevating team skillsets
 * Contribute to internal process improvement efforts, identifying efficiencies and implementing design best practices
 * Lead or participate in cross-functional planning, retrospectives, and creative reviews
 * Provide training and guidance to clients using the content management system (CMS) from a design and usability perspective
 * Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of design, content, and overall project goals
 * Assist with other creative tasks and projects to support the team's overall effectiveness
