Excellent written and verbal communications skills. + Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams through all phases of the engineering cycle. + Experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership on design efforts. + Must be able to work with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status. + Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: + BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering + 8+ years of related experience + Turbomachinery experience a plus Work Environment/Physical Requirements: + Office and/or manufacturing environment. + Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. + Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment). ## Description + Use computer-aided design (CAD) to produce initial design and specifications for aircraft components. + Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified aircraft system designs. + Document changes through a formal engineering change notification process. + Support engine and component test campaigns, including rig testing and full-scale engine tests. Analyze test data. + Develop and validate design requirements. + May lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. + Contribute to technology development, design methodologies, and process improvements to advance turbomachinery capabilities. + Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. + May lead a project team, timeline/scheduling, and budget. + Other job duties as assigned.
