## About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

 * Design tools such as Xilinx, TCL, Verilog, System Verilog, and UVM.
 * FPGA architectures like Xilinx 7, Xilinx UltraScale, Intel (Altera), or Microsemi (Actel).
 * Fast interfaces, including PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD.
 * Model-driven engineering using Matlab and Simulink tools.
 * Deriving Firmware requirements and architecture from system specifications.
 * Applying cryptography and anti-tamper techniques.
 * Utilising artificial intelligence, machine learning, and genetic algorithms.
 * Employing electronics test methods and equipment.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 * Working cohesively in mixed discipline teams.
 * Holding an HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Games Programming, Physics, or Applied Physics; or equivalent practical experience.

## Description

As an FPGA Engineer, you will:

 * Work collaboratively with experts in the field to design and implement Firmware for advanced digital systems.
 * Utilise design tools such as Xilinx, TCL, Verilog, System Verilog, and UVM.
 * Apply knowledge of FPGA architectures including Xilinx 7, Xilinx UltraScale, Intel (Altera), or Microsemi (Actel).
 * Integrate fast interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, and JESD into designs.
 * Generate auto code using model-driven engineering with Matlab and Simulink tools.
 * Derive detailed Firmware requirements and architecture from system requirements.
 * Adopt a structured approach to firmware design, aligned with standards such as RTCA DO-254 or similar.
