## About the Role

5+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
Proficiency in Ruby
Advanced SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL)
Experience with GraphQL API development.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud).
Comfortable with DevOps tasks and concepts or infrastructure challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong business and user understanding.
Ability to work with and understand diverse cultures.
Proactive in ideating and implementing product improvements.
Bonus points if you've worked with React or React Native.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining the backend of our application. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in backend development, architecture, and performance optimization, and is passionate about building scalable and reliable systems
This role is open to anyone based in EMEA Time Zone
This is a full time role with a flexible schedule, you must be available every working day between 9 am and 12 pm EST.
Who we are looking for, *Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Ruby, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
*API Development: Build and optimize our GraphQL API to support frontend applications and external integrations.
*Infrastructure & Deployment: Work with our Kubernetes infrastructure on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to manage deployments, monitor performance, and ensure system uptime.
*Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend engineers, designers, product managers, and QA to deliver well-integrated features and improvements.
*Product Enhancement: Contribute ideas and implement backend solutions that improve the user experience and support business goals.
*Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following best practices and participating in code reviews.
*Team Contribution: Actively participate in planning, stand ups, and retrospectives, helping drive team efficiency and continuous improvement.
