The role focuses on updating existing application functionality where needed, keeping other functionality stable, diagnosing and resolving bugs, and ensuring the applications remain available and secure during an organizational transition., * Update PHP web applications for the 2027 annual conference, including portals for conference liaisons, presenters, reviewers, administrators, and submitters. Maintain MySQL database integrity; investigate and repair data issues as reported by staff. * Apply security patches and PHP/dependency updates in a way that preserves existing functionality. Document code behavior, known issues, and fixes as work is completed, producing notes suitable for a future developer or vendor to reference. * Communicate clearly with non-technical staff to understand reported issues and confirm resolutions., The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length., Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
