We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. AIT Technician to be a key team member focused on daily lab operations supporting satellite and subsystem integration, qualification testing, material & process development, failure investigations, and process control validation. You will play a critical role in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting flight and prototype hardware, operating with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment to keep pace with a fast-moving satellite development project. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing technical rigor, schedule pressure, and evolving program needs., * Run thermal vacuum (TVAC) tests and maintain TVAC operations through qualification testing. * Modify or generate work instructions and follow aerospace test and integration best practices for thermal vacuum chamber testing and structural/mechanical testing. * Mechanically integrate flight hardware, including fluid and propulsion systems, star trackers, radios, instrumentation, flight computers, harnesses, and solar array panels, while adhering to technical and environmental processes and procedures. * Collaborate closely with engineers to develop, assemble, and test aerospace components. * Perform development and production activities on space systems and satellites with minimal documentation and oversight, exercising sound judgment to keep pace with an accelerated schedule. * Apply detailed knowledge of electronic and mechanical fabrication methods to assemble hardware or perform rework. * Maintain full familiarity with flight hardware deployment procedures. * Manufacture and integrate space-standard harnesses. * Perform tests on development and prototype hardware with minimal direction from engineers. * Perform system fault testing, including continuity checks, functional checkouts, and voltage measurements. * Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities and challenges shift daily. * Coordinate directly with the area supervisor to align on weekly testing goals. * Generate and review job hazard assessments, establish safety controls, and drive corrective actions to completion. * Model and enforce proper care of the physical lab space and equipment across the team. * Coordinate calibration and maintenance schedules to minimize tool/test equipment downtime. * Identify and remove blockers impacting daily and weekly testing goals (e.g., stepping in to assist, reverse shadowing, providing direct guidance, escalating issues)., * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. * experience working on flight hardware, satellites, or other high-reliability systems. * Ability to fully execute work orders, enforce safety standards, and complete complex testing tasks with minimal supervision. * Comfortable operating with reduced process rigor and documentation typical of rapid-development missions, while maintaining core safety and quality standards. * Hands-on, flexible, and a quick learner, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative with a can-do attitude. * Experience scheduling work and coordinating competing priorities using Jira or similar tools. * Familiarity with MRP systems and inventory planning. * Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. * Able to lift 30 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, and stretch as required for the position. * High school diploma or equivalent certification., Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
