Travel usually not to exceed 25%. ## Description Shadowgate Partners' client is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join their team for a large Linux enterprise system, the primary responsibility of the System Administrator will be to maintain, upgrade and provide support for Linux operating systems and infrastructure. The candidate needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems and respond to issues in a timely manner. The individual should be able to easily communicate technical concerns and solutions to people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with said individuals to resolve technical issues. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to maintaining system infrastructure, supporting upgrades and patches for security and application support, testing patches prior to pushing to the enterprise, and testing/building new and existing servers. The ideal candidate would have experience in a traditional bare metal and VM environment as well as cloud environments with a desire to gravitate more to the latter.
