(Entry-level roles may be considered for recent graduates with strong co-op/internship experience). * Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and material science. * GD&T & Drawing Standards: In-depth understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5). * Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, injection molding) and design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA). * Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and data-driven approach. * Ability to think creatively to develop novel and effective design solutions. * Meticulous attention to detail in design, calculation, and documentation. * Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-engineers. * Ability to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. ## Description The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the conception, design, development, and documentation of mechanical components, systems, and products. This role leverages engineering principles, SolidWorks software, and analytical tools to create innovative, cost-effective, and reliable designs that meet customer specifications, performance requirements, and manufacturability standards.
