## About the Role

* Previous experience in a mechanical or engineering design position.
 * Good working knowledge of Solid Edge or comparable 3D CAD software.
 * Experience producing 2D drawings, 3D models and assembly drawings.
 * Ability to produce or understand hydraulic schematics.
 * Experience creating bills of materials.
 * CIM50 experience would be advantageous.
 * Competent with Microsoft Office.
 * Confident customer communication and interpersonal skills.
 * Comfortable visiting and measuring customer sites.
 * Able to work effectively with salespeople, designers and workshop-based engineers.
 * Strong attention to detail with a practical understanding of manufacturing.

## Description

This varied role will involve producing detailed engineering drawings, supporting customer projects and working closely with the sales, design and workshop teams to turn concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions., * Produce accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings using Solid Edge.

 * Create assembly drawings, including detailed exploded views.
 * Produce and interpret hydraulic schematics.
 * Prepare and maintain bills of materials using CIM50.
 * Develop designs that meet customer, manufacturing and operational requirements.
 * Visit customer sites to take measurements and gather technical information.
 * Communicate with customers regarding specifications, designs and project requirements.
 * Work closely with the sales team to develop suitable technical solutions.
 * Liaise with workshop engineers to ensure designs can be manufactured and assembled effectively.
 * Support design modifications and resolve technical issues during production.
 * Attend exhibitions and industry events when required.
 * Maintain accurate technical documentation and project records.
