We come from the brand side and have built and led operations for companies like Steve Madden, Prada and Nice Laundry. We leverage the latest technology to support our high growth brands and their daily operations. Outerspace provides a number of services including, but not limited to, warehousing and fulfillment, customization and light manufacturing, and product photography. The Operations Manager is a multi-disciplinary leader responsible for the integrated oversight of warehouse, inventory, and maintenance operations within the Outerspace organization. This role combines e-commerce operations expertise with strong analytical capability to identify, solve, and improve opportunity areas while managing complex operational challenges across all three functions. Results-oriented and systems-driven, the Operations Manager designs and implements continuous improvement initiatives, sustainable solutions, and efficient processes that support both short- and long-term business objectives. Reports to: Senior Operations Manager, * Model and promote Outerspace values and adhere to the quality management system and good business practices. * Comply with and promote a culture of safety, environmental health, and human resources policies. * Manage operating systems, resources, and procedures across warehouse, inventory, and maintenance functions. * Ensure the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of top talent; provide clear objectives, roles, and responsibilities to all team members. * Lead performance management cycles including feedback, objective reviews, and work compass assessments. * Monitor KPIs and performance levels across all business units; drive root cause analysis on deviations. * Plan and coordinate peak season activities, project milestones, and maintain progress reports. * Apply 8D and Lean continuous improvement methodologies to resolve operational problems. * Coordinate with supervisors and senior staff to implement cost-reduction and quality-improvement opportunities. * Ensure SOP processes and procedures remain within the quality management system. * Adhere to the Outerspace system and audit requirements. * Manage operations in line with the company's standard P&L projections and client SLA agreements. * Perform other duties as needed Warehouse Operations: * Oversee receiving, storage, replenishment, movement, fulfillment, shipping, and returns processes for e-commerce and wholesale channels. * Ensure ABC counting programs and 3 DOH standards are maintained. * Establish obsolete materials analysis and coordinate with clients on destruction or relocation of slow-moving or QC-hold materials to free storage space. * Improve productivity through efficient scheduling and strict compliance with standard operating procedures. Inventory Control: * Validate compliance with ABC and 3 DOH counting programs and plan and coordinate physical inventories (PI). * Validate and supervise inventory adjustments according to each business unit's provisions; communicate risks proactively. * Validate theoretical inventory reconciliations (Outerspace system snapshots vs. client system) for each business unit. * Perform inventory cost analysis (RCA) to eliminate variances and drive action compliance. * Ensure inventory integrity and proper recording across all business units; manage external audit relationships. Maintenance Management: * Define and plan the overall maintenance policy to strengthen the preventive model and establish rational operational maintenance methodologies. * Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for all production lines and company facilities (productive and non-productive). * Create and maintain updated preventive and predictive maintenance manuals. * Lead, manage, and motivate maintenance teams; assign and coordinate maintenance work across departments. * Coordinate maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent accidents in conjunction with the occupational risk prevention officer. * Manage and reduce unplanned operational stoppages by at least 10% year over year.
