This individual will collaborate with software engineers, testers, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements development through testing and deployment. This position is best suited for a mid-career engineer with 3-4+ years of experience who can quickly become productive within the team. Candidates from agricultural, automotive, off-highway, mobile equipment, or embedded controls backgrounds are strongly preferred., * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Software Engineering * 3-4+ years of embedded software development experience * Experience developing embedded applications using C and/or C++ * Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Model-Based Design * Knowledge of embedded operating systems and embedded development processes * Experience writing and reviewing software requirements * Experience with software delivery lifecycles and development methodologies * Strong technical problem-solving abilities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience with unit and functional software testing Not a fit for: * Entry-level candidates or recent graduates * Candidates with only Computer Science backgrounds * Candidates with Mechanical Engineering degrees lacking embedded software experience Preferred Experience * Agile software development methodologies * State flow * Embedded operating system drivers and integration * CAN/J1939 communication networks * Control systems design and analysis * Agricultural, automotive, mobile equipment, or off-highway platforms * Continuous Integration (CI) and automated build tools * Embedded development tools including emulators, compilers, and simulators * Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical system diagnostics * Automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet * Electronic circuits, schematics, and datasheet interpretation * Laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers * Experience testing and validating vehicle equipment, mowers, tractors, or related machinery ## Description We are seeking a Software Engineer - Embedded Systems to support the development of embedded software solutions for Turf & Compact Utility equipment.
