## About the Role

Do you have experience in Valuation?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Cartographer/GIS Specialist 1 Education & Experience:

 * Associates degree with major course work in computer science, geography, surveying, engineering, or a related field.
 * Two years' experience working with survey mapping or geographic information systems;

Cartographer/GIS Specialist 2 Education & Experience:

 * Associates degree with major course work in computer science, geography, surveying, engineering, or a related field.
 * Four years' experience working with survey mapping or geographic information systems;
 * Or an equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job is qualifying., * Customer service
 * Legal research
 * Cadastral mapping and land or property records

## Description

* Keep the County's tax lot layer updated as properties are developed and adjusted.
 * Perform GIS data maintenance and analysis.
 * Research and resolve ambiguities and conflicts using legal descriptions, survey data, document descriptions, and court records.
 * Maintain and update taxing district boundaries as a result of annexations.
 * As subject matter experts, communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
 * Answer taxpayer questions relating to property ownership and boundaries.
