## About the Role

* Demonstrated proficiency in soldering
 * Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
 * Ability to:

 * program SMT and/or Conformal Coating machines using CAD software.
 * read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
 * perform standard software operations including Excel and SAP.
 * identify various electronic components.
 * infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
 * regularly perform work that requires magnification.
 * to concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
 * stand for prolonged periods of time, frequently in a stationary position.
 * work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates.
 * work independently with minimal supervision.
 * prioritize and organize work.
 * wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
 * Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.
 * Individuals with pacemakers may be prohibited from working in specific areas due to the operation of UV ovens., * Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent.
 * Minimum 12 months previous electronics manufacturing or other related experience.

Experience Preferred:

 * Computer Programming training.
 * Minimum of 12 months experience working in the Boardroom assembling PCBs.
 * Previous experience with fluidics and robotics.

## Description

Now Hiring at the MSA Safety Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant for an SMT Technician. The responsibilities of this position are primarily to:

 * Assemble printed circuit boards by setting-up and operating SMT and/or Conformal Coating machines.
 * Perform manual inspection of the boards to ensure that they are within specification.
 * Program SMT and/or Conformal Coating Machines using CAD software. Programming also requires knowledge of machine functions in relation to board layout and flow of material.
 * Troubleshoot and debug errors within programs and machines.
 * Run prototype boards/programs for engineering (red folder) jobs.
 * Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.
