SOCs or FPGA soft cores * Proficiency with a scripting language, such as Python * Experienced with standard development practices, such as source control, continuous integration, unit testing, integration and hardware in the loop testing * Strong communication skills and an ability to work well in a team and cross functionally, with a diverse range of people and disciplines Desirable (nice to have, but not required) * Strong Rust skills * Experience with creating UIs, particularly using Dart and Flutter * Hands-on experience of working with FPGAs and / or microcontrollers * Experience creating Linux based systems using Yocto * Familiarity with application programming interface principles, such as protocols for implementing remote procedure calls, especially gRPC * Experience working with Agile or Agile-inspired methodologies ## Description As a Software Engineer at Nu Quantum, you will be responsible for helping to create the tools that our Scientists require to develop, test, build and enhance our quantum networking solutions. You will be part of the Software team, who develop software for internal lab use, as well as the control and user interfaces for our prototype products. This includes firmware to run on embedded systems, the development of graphical user interfaces and automation of scientific experiments, You will work closely in an agile software team dedicated to high quality delivery. We work closely with our Scientists and Engineers to define requirements, maintain and test software solutions.
